GGU-FOOTING: "Export to GGU-SLAB" menu item

If your single footing is a larger slab, exporting to GGU-SLAB may be useful. In GGU-SLAB the footing can be analysed as elastically bedded slab using the constrained modulus method. For a rectangular footing you will see a simple dialog box in which you enter the thickness of the concrete slab and the x- and y-arrays for the finite elements in GGU-SLAB.

The file for GGU-SLAB is then generated. Your soil stratification and soil properties are transferred to GGU-SLAB as constrained modulus profiles.

For a circular or annular footing, you will see the following dialog box:

With the number of circular rings and circle segments you specify the density of your finite elements in GGU-SLAB. In the case of an annulus, the lower section of the dialog box also appears. Here you specify on which of the circular rings the vertical forces and moments are to be modelled as distributed loads.
