GGU-STRATIG: Enter measured penetrologger test data
After clicking the "Edit measurements/Import ASCII file" button, you will see a dialog box in which you either directly enter the measured data or import them as an ASCII file. Enter the required number of measured values using the "x values to edit" button, and you can then enter them by hand. In the dialog box partially shown below, 81 measured values are already available. If you have more than 60 data points, you can navigate through the list using "Forw." and "Back".

Eijkelkamp's Penetrologger stores the data in an ASCII file, the contents of which can look like this, for example (see "Petrologger.txt" file, abridged data series in illustration!):

Three penetration tests were performed per plot = data point. Once you have selected the required file using the "Import ASCII file" button, the program imports t the first 3 rows of data compliant with the Pen./Plot specification. The name GARTEN is adopted as the designation in the base data. You can subsequently adapt it if necessary, or you can edit the name in the ASCII file before importing.
If the ASCII file contains further plots, you must save them as a new file with this plot at the top. In the ASCII file shown above, you would delete the 3 rows GARTEN and then save the file with the data rows GARTEN2 under a new name (see "Petrologger2.txt" file).
