GGU-CONTAM-FE: Overview
The primary aim of contaminant propagation modelling is the prognosis of future conditions on the basis of given initial data and, on occasion, pre-specified countermeasures.
Using a numerical analysis approach, even complicated systems can be investigated and assessed. Precise modelling of the natural conditions is difficult, due to the multitude of initial parameters required and the inhomogeneity of aquifers. Before any contaminant analysis, you should therefore ensure that your initial data justify this.
