GGU-DRAWDOWN: "Semi-automatic" menu item
After selecting this menu item you can define well positions semi-automatically. The following dialog box appears when a rectangular excavation has been entered:
Enter into this dialog box the number of wells on the long and wide side of the excavation, and the well radius. The well radius shown is always the value entered in "Edit/Well radius". Additionally, you can determine the position of the first and last well from each edge as multiples of the well separation. Then select the "OK" button. The excavation system and the position of the wells will then be displayed on the screen. If you would like to alter the position of the wells further, select "Edit/Semi-automatic" again, or go on to method Graphic well determination.
The dialog box is slightly different for excavations bounded by polygons.
The defined number of wells will be arranged with equal spacing around the excavation. By entering a start distance you can influence the position of the 1st well. Starting point 0.00 is the upper right corner of the excavation. The wells are distributed anticlockwise.
