GGU-RETAIN: Bounded surcharges (active side)

Up to 40 bounded surcharges can be positioned at any height on the active side.grafik-20240925-111107.png

The earth pressure coefficient k is acquired from kah for active earth pressure and from k0 for at-rest earth pressure. If this option is activated, the resulting earth pressure is then redistributed.

In stratified ground, kah of the layer at the respective depth applies. At a layer boundary the earth pressure from the surcharge therefore jumps in proportion to the two coefficients. Unlike area loads, no coefficient averaged over the zone of influence is used.

The program adopts the linear component between φ and ϑ at its full value for negative values as well, e.g. when generating a double-bounded surcharge. If it is not to be adopted, or only partly, define a double-bounded surcharge instead and set the control parameter accordingly (see "Double-bounded surcharges" menu item).
