GGU-DIRECTSHEAR: "New" menu item
All input data will be deleted after a security request. After this, you can enter new tests.
After selecting the menu item, the following dialog box appears:

If the "With shear stress-path diagram" check box is activated the program anticipates input of the shear path, normal stress, shear stress and the settlement during a shear process. This data can be visualised graphically in two diagrams (settlement-path diagram and shear stress-path diagram). The program then automatically determines the failure value (maximum value of all measurements in a test) and the slip value (last value of all measurements in a test) from the shear stress-path diagram. The measured data can also be imported from a file in ASCII format (see Section 5.2.2.3).
An A3 format page is automatically used for visualisation with shear stress-path diagram. However, the page format and the configuration of the individual graphical elements can be defined by the user.
If the check box in the dialog box is not activated, input of the failure value and the slip value only is necessary later (see input box in Section 5.2.2.2). In this case an A4 format page is used for visualisation.
